Borgia is the Chairman and Managing Director of INDeco Leisure Hotels.
His INDeco hotels are currently in Mahabalipuram, Swamimalai and Lake
Forest (Yercaud). Mr. Borgia has created a unique blend of tourism with
heritage preservation and ecology conservation. The Swamimalai hotel has
won the prestigious Global Eco Tourism Award. He runs "The Steve Borgia
Indian Heritage Museum" in his hotels, which is accredited by the
American Alliance of Museums.
Steve
Borgia will talk about how he put together these hotels, what kind of
heritage conservation aspects he is involved in and how he uses the
local artisans for creating the ambience in his hotels. He will also
talk about how he acquired a heritage building in Chennai which was
about to be demolished and transplanted the whole building to his hotel
in Yercaud and has restored the same in his hotel.
